Finales Crazy Week!

why all in one week!!
this is too much .. not just finales .. two of the shows i watch got canceled!! i think finales week is simply depressing .. they always try to depress/shock us with cliffhangers, its just too stressful!

Gossip Girls finale.. i have to admit that the show got really bad, sometimes i feel guilty for still watching it! the only reason for that is i think most ppl would agree on this is the chuck/blair story .. and blairs wardrobe!! ;p the finale was heart breaking :( but Serena is getting on my nerves with her skanky too tight outfits! and wish she could wear a bra for a change lol! and jenny always always irritated the hell out of me! everything about her is simply revolting!! her skinny legs! the way she walks and talks ... and whats with her hair and makeup!!! :/ "etsaba7aaaay!!!"


Greys anatomys finale.... i still get jitters by just remembering it .. was one of the most intense finales i have ever watched .. i literally wasnt able to move, or breathe!! they killed me.. i couldnt even cry i just wanted it over. it was waaay OVER the top! but hands down the acting was sublime! they all did an amazing job! i see Emmys!! ;)
and like the writer said after what happened to them next season is going to be a blank slate to all of them! so we can expect anything now!


LOST! the master of all tv shows .. the show ive been watching since 2004! is coming to a real end, many complained that this season wasnt as strong and dramatic as the rest, what they seem to forget is this is a wrap up season where questions get answered, and where plots come to an end.. thats why it seems more calm and less insane! i love how all the seasons are connecting in this one, theyre answering to things, small things, that happened in season one! and making sense out of it in this one, which only proves the genius of the writers!!! out standing imagination
i have noticed that the actors in general seemed worn off , they look older and simply tired in this season and i dont blame them its really difficult keeping up with everything theyve been doing. they all stated theyre soo happy its coming to and end and they can move on now. i just cant imagine no more jack on tv lol ill sure miss this show. cant wait for the finale but at the same time i dont it to end :(


the show tha got canceled "Mercy" its about nurses and their lives in hospital. a nurse once said "doctors diagnose patients and we treat them" which is true .. and they dont get enough credit for it. the show was really really good .. but didnt get enough ratings, the killed it from season one! they didnt even bother air the finale! how rude is that. im still upset :/ they really didnt give the show a chance to create a base of fans .. atleast two seasons wouldve been fair. anyways id still recommend watching it, it was a really good show!

i still remember her phone number by heart,
its not one of those easey numbers to remember! i once asked her:
"esh,hal raqam! makintoosh!!? :p " and she said .. "who cares ppl save ur nomber no one will know it by heart"
little did she know that 6 years later i still remember it.. digit by digit ..
i have dialed the numbers a few times.. to have some stranger pick up.. everytime i feel like crying over the phone, but i simply apologize and hangup.

when will any of this get easier on my heart and memory. her face and voice arent as vivid as they used to be .. but theyre still there. sub7an allah the thing that i remember the strongest is the way she smelled. which ill never find anywhere else.. i got her perfumes and body lotions but its not that, its her warmth.

why writing about her alone makes me smile and happy :)
maybe because i feel like were connecting .. 7abeebty..
again "yumma" i miss you o i need u right now more than ever .. so please ..

just wanted to talk about JAMIE OLIVER .. hes not just a great chef ..
sorry, let me rephrase .. hes not just a great "hot" chef but an amazing parent! who wants things to change for the better .. he started change in his country UK and now hes taking it to the States because hes hoping from there the rest of the world will try and follow!

we really should try and follow when its in good things!

i dont want you watching this and thinking "wow its pretty bad in the states" because in kuwait its actually worst. according to American Public Health Association "Kuwait has the Highest Obesity level in the World"!! now that is scary! and the numbers are screaming for some action! sadly no one is doing anything about it. something needs to be done, people need to be aware of how bad things are in kuwait. inshallah change will come to each and every house, and people will start looking after what they and their children are eating :) you are what you eat, so eat good and healthy :) for more information on obesity in kuwait read this article from Alwatan news. im very proud that we have KOA (kuwait obesity Association) great job!

The "It" Thing in Beverly Hills/Kuwait!

usually we hear that theres an "It" bag, shoe, designer or dress .. a must have of the season! all the A-listers have it for a reason!! and it sells out almost immediately! in most cases if the designer wasnt simply a friend they were trying to help promote, that "It" would be the best thing out there.

I have noticed that "it" also apply to causes/ways of living, "living green" is the "it" thing right now.. that includes green products, hybrid cars, organic food, recycling, animal friendly farms and products.. trying to help build a safer healthier planet. which is really just perfect! exactly what we need. i also couldnt help but notice another trend that is catching on pretty fast and well!! there couldnt be anything better, it is more important than the green movement it self

"BREASTFEEDING"

the growing number of amazing, powerful, successful beautiful hot breastfeeding mamas! the biggest celebrity names we know: Angelina jolie, Madonna, Christina Aguilera, Salma hayek, Catherine Zeta jones to Gwen Stefani.. and the list goes on and on! they all proudly breastfeed their kids! and say its the best thing you could do to your child and your self :) in my opinion, when your breastfeeding your choosing to commit to your child, a commitment to deliver what is being gifted to your child from God.. your the messenger of that amazing nutritious custom made pure milk to your precious bundle of joy! you deliver it while holding him with both arms, skin to skin contact, love and bond :) they say nothing is perfect.. but breastfeeding is simply is.

"WHO and UNICEF recommends you exclusively breastfeed at least up to 6 months, and continue for 1 year or 2 years."

its been proven to prevent heart disease/attacks, also been proven to help prevent breast cancer, prevents post partum depression and helps shed the extra weight! now thats just the cherry on the top for u ;) as in for your little angel, its proven that breastfed babys have stronger immune system and better health in general. it helps create a greater bond between you two, the baby never feels as safe and content as when hes being breastfed. the milk comes out to him in the perfect temperature, easy to digest which minimizes gas pains, no heating or sanitizing required! no artificial additives/cows milk powder being mixed into boiling water, the milk is just his! been created just for him, and who better to create that milk than the same body that created him! your body knows exactly what your baby needs, which is just a miracle! the bond between your body and the baby does not end just because he left it. there is still a connection and need :) definitely beats picking up a generic can off super markets shelftops!

im so thankful for the new trend! and im full of hope that it will catch on in Kuwait, which is already happening!! thanks to our lovely and amazing Noura and Jumana! if your interested in a healthier living and breastfeeding that is where you want to start. were soo lucky for having them in our society.. they are inspiring and im very proud that we can be part of their movement, a dream for this country and its future with inshallah healthier generations to come :) we have just as beautiful, amazing smart mommies.. and precious kids that in no doubt deserve nothing less than the best!

Hellow Neighbors!

ever since we moved into our apartment complex (jan 2009) .. weve never had any neighbor visits from no one other than the crazy old lady! and that was it.
we live on the fourth floor, every now and then as abdullah is playing around the place dancing or what ever it is hes doing we get a sudden semi mini earth quake! LOL the apartment below would start banging the hell out of their ceiling! the floors would shake and poor little abdullah would get the best of it coz they usually bang the area hes standing at.. hed freeze in his place and looks at me with fear in his eyes .. i go give him a hug and tell him dont worry its ok, dont be afraid.

we got used to this routine untill one day abdullah was dancing along sesami street and all the sudden hell broke lose! the banging was VERY aggressive! and would not stop even after abdullah stopped dancing! they would not stop the banging they were pretty angry! i was upset! and told hub were going to file a complaint tomorrow @ the reception office because this is ridiculous and is against the law! hes not even 2 years old!! how can we control how he plays!? and he has every right to play and grow with out being terrorized every time he did.. we both agreed we`ll go the next day to file a complaint. minutes later.. furious strong banging was on our door! we both knew who it was .. i smiled .. and was like: they finally gave in? lol

as hub was making his way to open the door i told him "wait" .. and asked him to hold Abdullah :) LOL and open the door with him. as he opened the door the guy knocking was like: OMG! its this little kid!!! they both laughed .. and he was like u have no idea how loud it is down there .. we kept wondering what u guys were doing!!!! hub answered were so sorry but we try and keep him quite but @ his age theres nothing we can do. his girlfriend answered .. no.. its really loud down there u cannot imagine how loud it gets! hub answered .. he only weighs 20 pounds! so it must be the floors LOL. so for now no complains are being filed, but if this happens one more time, it will be it!

and that ppl was our second encounter with our lovely neighbors! how welcoming :)
as for now . Abdullah will continue his Elmo dance hopefully with no interruptions :p

i hate it when ppl yap and whine all the time! i know it seems like this is what im doing right now, but because i dont want to yap and whine with someone (and make their life miserable) im doing it on my poor little blog, coz i need to let some off my chest!!!
omg.. ppl its not the end of the world when something is not what u want or planned for?!
move on.. dont make everything into a huge deal and most of all dont OVER react!

sometimes i just wish i could mute my ears .. or pause my life .. better even to just fast forward some bits of it.. no i didnt watch the movie click .. but when i once said that everyone was like ur talking about click! so basically the movie stole my idea hehehe coz i never watched it!

so ... whiners! i hate them .. want them out of my life and head .. i want some off time, some relax time .. oh and one more thing i do need very much .. appreciation. lately ive been feeling down .. for a million reasons .. i need something to get me back up on my feet.
u know i think being taken for granted is never a good thing!.. always be careful with that. there, thats my tip for the day :)

anyways i just exhaled real deep and i think thats ur cue for: ur vent is done :)

its been almost 4 years now since i started these pages, each year had its own personality and events :)
i dont want to say or even think that im growing out of it "blogging" cause im a firm believer it is my home, but i must admit that growing up in general with more responsibilities cant help but take you away even from the things you care for most.

my beautiful Abdullah will be turning two soon inshallah! i still cannot wrap my head around that ive known him for two years! it feels like eternity but at the same time went by soo incredibly fast! wow 2 years!

hes in daycare now.. the only Abdullah in his class amongst three different Max`s Angelas and Evas :) all soo adorable. the thing i cherish most about L.A and will surely miss is how multiracial it is! u see people from soooo many different backgrounds, religions, ethniticies and skin tones.. with time they all blend intogether that u cant see or notice it anymore. its simply beautiful. i love the respect they have for eachother, honesty in respect and equality. its one of the things i will miss most after we move back to Kuwait inshallah.

anyways i hope everyone is well.

a strange story worth telling (or thats what ive been told) :p

since Halloween is on the way - u might be up for kind of a scary story :p

when we moved in our lovely complex.. we loved everything about it but one thing, we had to endure waking up early in soo many mornings and rush out of our apartments coz of (false fire alarms!) they would happen maybe once or twice a month! when ever ppl evacuate and wait for the green light to go back in, what would happen is we would all get to meet some new ppl and socialize in our pajamas :p (cute!)

one day while were in the lobby socializing and waiting .. i met an old old lady. in her maybe mid 60s, she kept talking on how she had to leave new york and move up here coz she lost ALL her fortune to the very famous ponzi scheme!! i felt so sorry for her .. she also mentioned that after she lost her money her family (two daughters) havent been so close to her anymore!! i know its terrible .. they kind of lost respect for her .. thats what she thinks anyways. and her husband is deceased, so she was living all alone poor thing :( she really broke my heart and i have decided to drop by her place from time to time just to check on her. she lived right down the hall, she would be sooooo happy everytime i did, she also adores abdullah .. all we would talk about is (how she lost all her money) again and again!

my reply would be the typical Muslim reply (its ok! its just money, most important thing is that you have got your health, and your family, rest will get better with time u have to be patient and always thank God no matter how bad things get, its just a test)

she kept reminding me shes Jewish .. and i kept reminding her we all have a God. and the system works just the same! :p

soooooooo this was just an introduction to what happened!! LOL bear with me please :)

on Valentines day, i prepared some cute red goody bags for aboods gymboree classmates, and i have decided to save one for her, placed it on her door mat, since she was out. later on the day, as i was working and abood is just following me around the place; the door bell rang .. i looked through the magic eye and there she was!! :S

i gasped!! held my breath and for a second was thinking if i should just ignore her and pretend to be out, but 3boods playing around and she definitely heard him .. i slightly opened the door and there she was:

(her blond whitish thin hair was all messed up mostly upwards and the rest was all over her face, her face was swollen, the entire right side was bruised, she had a BLACK eye! she couldn't even open her eye. she was only wearing a pajama top (black satin with buttons) .. that was unbuttoned!! she only buttoned the middle one.. but right under that button popped her entire (big) belly!! completely out there! and the scary part .. NO BOTTOMS! .. no nothing .. the pajama top reached exactly to her (****) thank God! she had no shoes on or even socks!! she was BARE FOOT!!!! and it was FREEEEEEZING COLD!! that day. her legs were BLUE!! and the scarier part .. she was holding the box of chocolates i left her, in one hand and in the other she was stuffing her mouth with chocolates!! munching with her mouth open .. all chocolate inside and out!!! she said with a horrifyingly scary crazy tone (THANK YOU FOR THE CHOCOLATES!)

i swear i felt like i was in a horror movie at that moment! i could hear thunder and rain in the back of my head lol i couldnt believe that what i was seeing was real x/

i just wanted to run!!! she looked soooooooooooo creepy .. i had no idea what to do .. i just said "your welcome" and then pushed the door .. she reached out and pushed it back!!! :S "can i come in!!" she said .... completely horrified i replied "yes."

so as i mentioned earlier, we have just moved in at the time .. and our living room; our new very nice living room just arrived two days ago! she marched right in and sat on the large sofa!!!!! with no underwear on!!!!! all i could think of was (EEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW) and (omg omg omg!!!)

she sat there like everything was fine and normal .. kept talking about the ponzi scheme again and how she lost all her money and how she misses newyork!! all i could think of at that moment was two things:

(get off the sofa) and (i hope hub doesnt come home and see this (since hes a clean freak!)

oh and since shes with no underwear too!! :/

as i was still in complete horror and as she was still sitting there yapping .. guess what happened .. the door opened! and yes, it was hub!

he came in and his eyes almost popped, his face flushed red and immediately looked away!! i could see the anger he was in .. he said hi and went to his office! after he left ..she kept asking when is he coming back coz she wanted to chat with him! (seriously) :S
i kept telling her he wont coz hes busy .. she kept on waiting for him.. 10 mins later she decided to finally leave us alone.

after she did .. i swear to God the sofa SMELLED!!! IT REEKED! i have no idea what it was but it was disgusting!!!! hub asked me to get rid of the living room on the same day! he did not want to even look at it .. it was sold on craiglist 10 minutes after i posted it!! LOL I sold a brand new living room set for 400$ LOL cheap!!! no one even asked why?! :p the buyers kept pouring in! but to have a clear conscious i washed it very well and sanitized it with antibacterial sprays and everything you could imagine. it was good as new .. we were just stuck with the image! :p
needless to say that was also the end of our friendship :( been avoiding her ever since.

anyways .. thats one story for u .. lol theres a lot in store!
